Historical material, Historical data, Historical source is original material that contain important historical information. These materials are used as clues in order to study history. Historical materials are including historical documents, artifact, archaeological site, oral transmissions, stone inscriptions, paintings, recorded sounds, images (photographs, motion pictures), oral history and so forth. Even ancient relics and ruins, broadly speaking, are historical materials.[1]
